Your First Visit

At Eagle Mountain Family Dental, we are always excited to welcome new patients to our dental practice. Your first visit with us is the start of what we hope will be a mutually rewarding lifelong relationship

Our team wants your first visit to set the tone for future visits, so we do everything we can to make it comfortable and stress-free. There are a few things you should know that will help you get the most out of your time with Dr. Kyle Reeves during your first appointment.

Forms to Fill Out

The paperwork you fill out at your first visit becomes part of your permanent patient record. You can download and complete the forms you need here on our forms page to save time when you arrive at our office. If you are not able to complete your paperwork before, please plan to arrive 15 minutes before your scheduled appointment time.

Please bring a photo ID, any insurance cards you will be using, and a list of the medications you currently take.

When You Arrive

When you first enter our warm and inviting reception area, you’ll find it hard to believe you’re in a dental office. Wood paneling, muted earth tones, and soft lighting make it feel more like someone’s comfy living room.

You will be greeted warmly by Terri, who will get you signed in and collect your paperwork.

Meeting Your Dental Team

During your first appointment, you will meet with your dental hygienist and Dr. Reeves. We will perform a comprehensive exam that includes

  • Soft tissue evaluation
  • Oral cancer screening
  • Periodontal evaluation
  • TMJ/TMD screening
  • Hard tissue exam
  • Occlusal (bite) evaluation
  • Digital x-rays as needed for diagnosis

We personalize your care, so Dr. Reeves needs to do a thorough oral exam before deciding on the appropriate course of treatment. Depending on what he finds, we may or may not be able to perform a dental cleaning the same day.

After your evaluation, Dr. Reeves will propose an initial treatment plan, and a team member will help you arrange future appointments as necessary. We will also discuss how your insurance benefits apply as well as financing with CareCredit.
